Task Tree Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Task Tree (the "App") handles user information.
1. Basic policy
The App helps users organize tasks. Content entered by a user is stored on the user's device to provide the App's features. The developer does not collect task content for advertising, tracking, sale, or external marketing.
2. Information stored
In response to user actions, the App stores:
- Workspace names
- Task names, branch tasks, and task structures
- Completion status, creation dates, and display order
- Due dates, recurrence start and end dates, recurrence intervals, and recurrence progress
- Notification settings
- Device name, device type, and device identifier needed to display sync status
- Completed-task visibility and related App settings
3. Clipboard
The App reads text from the clipboard only when the user chooses Paste or Paste and Add. The text is used to add tasks in bulk, create branches, or import exported task text. The App does not continuously monitor the clipboard without user action.
4. Notifications
When notifications are enabled, the App registers notifications with iOS based on the relevant task title, scheduled date, and recurrence. Notification permission can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
5. iCloud synchronization
When the user is signed in to iCloud, the App may use iCloud Key-Value Store to synchronize task information between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Task information and the device name, device type, and device identifier required to display sync status are then stored in Apple's storage associated with the user's iCloud account.
iCloud storage, synchronization, and account management depend on Apple services. When iCloud is not used, data is generally stored only on the device.
6. App Shortcuts
When the user operates the App through Shortcuts, Siri, or another iOS feature, entered task names and workspace names are used only to perform the requested action.
7. Support requests
If the user contacts support through an external service, the submitted content is handled by that service. Users should avoid including task names, schedules, personal notes, or other personal information that is not needed to resolve the request.
8. Third-party disclosure, advertising, and tracking
The App does not provide task content for advertising, tracking, or sale to third parties. The current version does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. If this changes, this policy and the App Privacy information on the App Store will be updated.
9. Deletion
Users can delete tasks and workspaces in the App. To delete all locally stored App data, users can delete the App. The timing of changes to synchronized iCloud data may vary depending on other devices using the same Apple Account and the user's iCloud settings.
10. Children
The App is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may manage device and iCloud settings when appropriate.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated when features, distribution methods, laws, or App Store requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the App or on an official distribution page.
